(latter treated as Salix mucronata Thunb.), and Populus euphratica Oliv. Salix roots prefer growing in the saturated groundwater zone and will rapidly elongate to maintain contact with free water. The present study showed that S. tetrasperma was collected only from Minya to Alexandria a habitat characterized by low-temperature, absent from Upper Egypt where high-temperature. the occurrence of S. tetrasperma and both male and female S. mucronata in Fayium may be attributed to the presence of low elevation from the water surface. Populus euphratica collected during this study was growing at high temperatures and humidity. The results of the present study showed that the two studied Salix species can be distinguished from each other by several pollen characters. S. tetrasperma has a small pollen grain, and a wide exine lumen, with granulate lumen sculpture. While S. mucronata has shorter. Fuzzy connectedness (FC) based methods usually give robust segmentation results. However, most of these methods suffer from the weakness of 'leaking through poorly defined boundary segments'. One of these methods is the absolute or generalized fuzzy connectivity (GFC) method which has an additional weakness about determining the optimal threshold of the fuzzy connectedness scene. This threshold is usually selected manually rather than being automated. In this proposal, we introduce an algorithm based on GFC method that utilizes both fuzzy connectedness- and boundary-based information inheriting the strength qualities of them both, since they depend on different characteristics, in order to alleviate the previous weaknesses. This algorithm uses an affinity of FC that utilizes both region and boundary-based information. Moreover, it proposes an automatic selection procedure of the threshold parameter. Reflectarrays / transmitarrays of a transparent hemispherical dielectric resonator antenna integrated with solar cells for small satellite and clean energy are proposed. Las raíces de Salix prefieren crecer en la zona saturada de agua subterránea y se alargan rápidamente para mantener el contacto con el agua libre. El presente estudio demostró que S. tetrasperma se recogió sólo en Minya hasta Alejandría, un hábitat caracterizado por la baja temperatura, y que está ausente en el Alto Egipto, donde la temperatura es alta. La presencia de S . tetrasperma y de S. mucronata, tanto macho como hembra, en Fayium puede atribuirse a la presencia de una baja elevación de la superficie del agua. El Populus euphratica recogido durante este estudio crecía a altas temperaturas y humedad. Los resultados del presente estudio mostraron que las dos especies de Salix estudiadas pueden distinguirse entre sí por varios caracteres del polen. S. tetrasperma tiene un grano de polen pequeño, y un lumen de exina amplio, con escultura de lumen granulado. Mientras que S. mucronata tiene más corto.
