A rare example of the 3rd and 4th issues of Poetry London - New York, the sequel journal to Tambimuttu's Poetry London, founded upon his moving to the United States in 1952. These issues feature a particularly prestigious group of contributors, including W. H. Auden, Gregory Corso, Roy Campbell, Jack Kerouac, Anne Ridler, Karl Shapiro, Elizabeth Jennings, Robin Skelton, Charles Dunlop, James Merrill, Hayden Carruth, and many others. Both from the home of a tobacco smoker, with attendant tanning to spine / covers. No. 4's cover is rather frail, with considerable separation on the outer extremities of each staple and a chip to front fore-edge. Offset tanning to No. 3. No. 4 with a slight bump to upper corners, Bindings otherwise fairly sound. Both with crisp, bright and unmarked pages. Overall good+ condition.
