It was composed about 1405 - 1410 by an unknown author, and addresses theological debates of the turbulent period of English church history with unusual directness and complexity. This copy is the first volume of a 3-volume set, containing the first half of the text of this classic document (that is, Volume 1, Part 1, not Part 2). (No 275 in the Early English Text Society series.).
