Gerade in den heutigen Zeiten, in denen sich Unternehmen veränderten gesellschaftlichen und wirtschaftlichen Rahmenbedingungen stellen müssen, ist eine systematische Innovationspolitik sowie der Einsatz von Methoden der Testmarktsimulation zur Abschätzung des Erfolgspotentials von innovativen Produkten unerlässlich. Es ist deshalb sehr wichtig, frühzeitig verbraucherseitige und konkurrentenbezogene Informationen in die Entscheidungsfindung von Produktentwicklungsprozessen einzubeziehen. Die in der Praxis gegenwärtig zur Anwendung kommenden Testmarktsimulationsverfahren prognostizieren Erfolgschancen meist nur dann, wenn ein abgrenzbares Konkurrenzumfeld besteht, in das sich das neue Produkt einordnen lässt. Schwierig wird dies, wenn sich innovative Produkte nicht oder nur unzureichend in existierende Produktkategorien einordnen lassen. Im Rahmen dieser Studie wurden alternative Gestaltungsmà glichkeiten von Kaufsimulationen innovativer Produkte einem empirischen Vergleich unterzogen, um dieser Problematik zu begegnen. Eine weitere Thematik der Arbeit bildete die Frage, welche Mà glichkeiten zum Testen innovativer Produkte bestehen, wenn diese physisch noch nicht existieren oder wenn auf deren physische Präsentation verzichtet werden soll. Hierbei wurden die Auswirkungen einer virtuellen Darbietung von Produkten gegenüber einer physischen Darbietung experimentell getestet.…
