This booklet tell the story of SImeon Bell, MD, a physician from Ohio who moved to Kansas in 1857 and were forced to relocate after losing everything to Quantrill's Raids. In 1866 he returned to the Rosedale section of Kansas City, purchased land, and set up his practice which thrived. In 1909 land previously deeded to KU for a medical school and hospital came to fruition and the first class graduated. Thus began KU Medical Center with has continued to grow from this small beginning. A clean near pristine copy.
