Die in Paris lebende Künstlerin Micaela Henich hat unter dem Titel Mille e tre eine… Serie von insgesamt 1003 Tuschzeichnungen geschaffen, von denen sie je 200 fünf Autoren anvertraute, die sie um »Legenden« dazu bat (neben Jacques Derrida, der den Part fünf von 801 bis 1000 übernahm, waren dies Dominique Fourcade, Michael Palmer, Tom Raworth und Jacques Roubaud); die Nummern 1001-1003 sollten ohne Text bleiben. Alle Zeichnungen wurden im Format 16 x 6 cm gefertigt (mit Ausnahme der letzten, Nr. 1003, die 370 x 150 cm misst) - gezeichnet mit schwarzer Tusche in chinesische Zeichenhefte mit einem in Blau vorgedruckten Rahmen und einer seitlichen Markierung. Der vortreffliche Andreas Jacke kommentiert: "Anhand dieses auf sehr ansprechende Weise gestalteten Buches lässt sich Derridas langjährige philosophische Beschäftigung mit der bildenden Kunst nochmals in einem bereits weit fortgeschrittenen Stadium nachvollziehen. Schon 1978 hatte der Philosoph mit seinem kunsttheoretischen Hauptwerk Die Wahrheit in der Malerei eine komplexe Deutung für das Verhältnis zwischen Bild und Text gegeben. Ähnlich anspruchsvoll und literarisch ist dieser Band, der an einigen Stellen aufgrund seiner persönlichen Note und seiner Fragmentierung an die Lektüre des ersten Teils von Die Postkarte (1980/ 1983) erinnert. Die Lektüre enthält neben einem Rundgang durch Derridas typische Philosopheme, konkrete Bildskizzen, die auf eine besondere Weise arrangiert wurden. Lineagen / Mille e tre, fünf stellt damit eine besondere Verifikation seiner Überlegungen zur (Un)-Möglichkeit von Bildinterpretationen dar. Der Band war bereits 1996 auf Französisch erschienen, seine deutsche Übersetzung erfolgte 2021 demnach als ein Supplement mit einer Verzögerung von knapp fünfundzwanzig Jahren. Dieser Verzug kommt einer Philosophie jedoch entgegen, die wie keine andere auf die Posteffekte aufmerksam gemacht hat: Ein Buch kann nach Derrida nicht zu spät erscheinen, weil es immer schon in einer Verzögerung, die das Phantasma der Präsenz aushöhlt, herauskommt und auch gelesen wird. Und ein Buch kann auch niemals ausgelesen werden, weil es immer neue Sinnebenen eröffnet. Daher geht diese außergewöhnliche intermediale Meditation zwischen Bild und Wort, weil sie gänzlich immun ist, gegen kurzweilige Modeerscheinungen, über ihre Zeit hinaus. Am Anfang der 90er-Jahre hatte die in Paris lebende rumänische Künstlerin Micaela Henich insgesamt 1003 Tuschzeichnungen angefertigt und dann fünf namhafte Autoren darum gebeten, ihre Bilder in der Form von Legenden zu kommentieren. Der Begriff der Legende weist bereits auf eine offene Form hin, denn er bedeutet, dass es sich um kurze, erbauliche religiöse Erzählungen, über Leben und Tod oder auch um das Martyrium von Heiligen handeln sollte. Derrida nahm die von der Künstlerin gestellte Aufforderung an und nannte seinen Korpus von Texten, der aus insgesamt 200 Aphorismen besteht (seine Kommentare zu den Zeichnungen 801-1000) Lineagen, was so viel bedeutet wie Abstammungslinien, Nachkommenschaften, Geschlechter oder auch Stämme. Damit wird ein psychoanalytischer, kunsthistorischer, philosophischer Verknüpfungspunkt zwischen den Zeichnungen hervorgehoben, in dem der Autorenschaft (und sei sie auch nur imaginiert) als Abstammungslinie eine Priorität eingeräumt wurde. Die Zeichnungen bilden erst mal eine Reihe, die Derrida abschreitet und zugleich bestreitet er ihren linearen Ablauf, weil jedes Bild exemplarisch angelegt sei. Jede Zeichnung könne daher mit allen anderen schwanger gehen. Und er verfolgt in seinen kurzen Aphorismen zu jeder Zeichnung auch nicht eine, sondern ein ganzes Bündel von Interpretationslinien. Dabei arbeitet er, wie so oft, vor allem mit lyrischen Verdichtungen und Verschiebungen. Sein ganz eigener und unverwechselbar.
