One man stands, holding the rod, and the other holds the line, pulling up a weakfish. Other rowboats and some land formations make up the background. This image was printed in the Annual Report of the Commissioners of Fisheries, Game and Forests of the State of New York, 1907. In very good condition.

Superb letter from Paine to the person responsible for the layout of The Tent Dwellers dated 10 October 1908 on The Players [16 Gramercy Park, NY] stationary. In full: "Dear [?]: The "Tent Dwellers" is a beautiful book. I'm more proud of it than of any book I've had published. You deserve a lot of credit for having it done so handsomely. If it doesn't go it's not the fault of the manufacture - that's certain. Sincerely A B Paine." The letter, now loose, was tipped in on tabs at gutter following the front free endpaper. No inscriptions in the book. Cloth rubbed and lightly toned; binding is sound. Inscribed by Author(s).
