First Draft script for the 1952 film. The script's development history began in the US with Vanguard Films and this draft by Dinelli, and was ultimately produced by Republic Pictures in conjunction with Herbert Wilcox Productions in the UK. Script credit was ultimately given to Pamela Bower. Based on the 1913 novel by E. C. Bent…ley. A reporter is assigned to cover the case of an international businessman in town who was found dead. He poses as a member of the family to gain access to the businessman's house and information from the lead detective on the case who suspects the death was a suicide. Set in Hampshire, England. Blue titled wrappers, noted as First Draft on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped copy No. 12, dated May 22, 1947, with credits for novelist E.C. Bentley and screenwriter Mel Dinelli. Distribution page present, with receipt intact. 110 leaves, with last page of text numbered 109. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Near Fine, bound internally with three silver brads.

Early Draft script for the 1950 British film "Into the Blue," seen here under the early working title "Rendezvous in Cannes." The film was released in the US under the title "Man in a Dinghy." Copy belonging to sound recordist Peter Handford, with his name in blue manuscript ink on the front wrapper. Hal Erickson: A film much en…hanced by the presence of two veteran British movie favorites. Jack Hulbert and Constance Cummings (as John and Kate Ferguson), who embark upon their first vacation in years. Traveling from England to Norway by yacht, the Fergusons are joined by their taciturn skipper Bill (Edward Rigby) and romantic leads Nicholas Foster (top-billed Michael Wilding) and ship's cook Jackie (Odile Versois). A quiet story, one whose strongest suits are its stars and its location photography. Set on the Seine river and other waterways between Norway and England. Blue titled wrappers with a yellow cloth tape spine, marked copy No. 14. Title page present, with credits for screenwriters Wilcox and Taylor and dialogue and story writer Phipps. 124 leaves, mimeograph duplication. Pages Very Good plus, wrapper Good, perfect-bound.

No Binding. Condizione: Near Fine. A cinema-used, Finnish poster for the 1948 movie SPRING IN PARK LANE, starring Anna Neagle and Michael Wilding. The film was first screened in Finland in March 1949 - appropriately, at the Ritz Cinema, Helsinki - and there were no further theatrical releases. A big winner at the box office it i…s apparently one of the highest-grossing British movies of all time. It obviously enjoyed a long run in Finland because - based on presentation only (I have never seen another example) - this does appear to be a reprinting from the era but this is an educated guess only. It could be a first screening poster. The poster was printed by Norbladd & Pettersson and measures 23.5 inches x 16.25 inches (60cm x 41cm) approx, Standard Finnish A2. Extremely thin paper (rule of thumb for Finnish posters - the older they are the thinner the paper). Condition: C8 (VG to Fine) This poster has a folding crease down near the bottom edge and a second across the right corner but none to the middle. Not unduly noticeable. Appears to have been mounted with a small tack at the top (middle) and pulled through at dismounting - - hole at that place above the top sheet-music illustration. No further pinholes. Small nick to bottom edge (less than 1cm). Minor handling creases, mostly to bottom corners. In super condition otherwise considering its frailty and remarkably clean. A lovely 1940's poster of an historic movie and cinema posters for this film are extremely rare.
