Haus Molchow, designed by the Finnish architects Eliel Saarinen and Herman Gesellius in 1905, realized this dream - the building was a unique work of art, where the handprint of the designers reached the smallest details of the interior. This publication presents the stages of planning a gallant villa and its construction. In addition, the daily life and celebrations of Haus Molchow residents are described; the book contains a lot of previously unpublished picture material. The colorful fifty-year history of the house and its various residents stretches from the last years of the German Empire to the time after World War II, when Haus Molchow was condemned to demolition.
