The book itself is very faintly curved, very brief birthday note onverso of half-title page, a little spot on page 186. Otherwise clean and tight, corners sharp, no tears or…creases, no markings to the text. The jacket is worn and torn, has a piece missing at the tail of the spine and is tape-mended inside. Now in a DJ protector. "A first hand account of Oregon's John Day Valley." Beef-raising in the West, gold days in Grant county, homesteading, wild horses, sheepmen, stage coaching, et al.
