Hardcover. Condizione: Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Condition: Old and used vintage copy. The book shows writing and notes inside, though nothing that overly distracts from readability. The exterior is well-worn and loved, with a spine beginning to tear slightly. Pages are aged but intact. Considering its age?nearly 100 years old?it has held up remarkably well. Description: A rare theological work from 1931 by Charles G. Herzog, Channels of Redemption explores Christian doctrine and the means of grace within the church. This vintage volume will appeal to collectors of early 20th-century religious texts or those interested in historical theology.

First Printing; Hardcover. Condizione: Near Fine. Condizione sovraccoperta: Very Good+. Illustrated by Charles Herzog III (illustratore). First Edition. B&W Illustrations; 9 1/4 x 8 1/4; 218 pages; Oblong shaped. Hard cover is tan with gold lettering on spine. Sunning, bumping, shelf wear. SIGNED ON FRONT END PAPER BY THE AUTHOR AND ANOTHER DETROIT AREA NEWSCASTER, JACK LE GOFF. Pages are clean and tight. Appears to be a much loved copy. Charmingly illustrated with monochrome brown and white drawings by Charles Herzog III. DJ has rubbing/sunning, shelf wear , is intact in a mylar cover. Written with great humor, as well as information, about each animal listed. "If you're going to hunt the polar bear with a club, just make sure that there are about 50 people in the club, beacuse, to man, the polar bear is one of the most dangerous animals in the world". Written by local Detroiter, Sonny Eliot, long time newsman/weatherman and reporter. A Detroit icon in the broadcast world. " where one of his favorite shows was "At The Zoo. "The year was 1962. "The zoo opened for the very first time early in the year and our program director said 'Hey, that would be good. You look like you belong in a cage, you get out there and do a special on the zoo,' " Eliot said in 2006. The show was such a hit, Channel 4 made it a weekly habit. "It lasted for 17 years.Unlike any other in the country, Eliot's weathercasts were a mixture of fast-paced humor, bits of far-out philosophy, one liners, improbable analogies and similes, and, not to be overlooked, easy-to-understand weather forecasts". As you read the book, you can clearly hear Sonny's voice telling the tales of his much beloved Detroit Zoo [sic, and mine] and the animals who reside there. ; Signed by Author.
