This issue features a Who's Who of Beat and other avant-garde poets and writers of the early 1960s: Frank O'Hara, Allen Ginsberg, Diane DiPrima, Charles Olson, Robert Creeley, Gregory Corso, Philip Whalen, Gilbert Sorrentino, Kenneth Koch, and more. John Ashbery is listed as one of the "New Contributors" to Yugen, with two poems. Cover illustration by Norman Bluhm.
