Datiert Leipzig 1900. --- Alexander Heyne arbeitete noch bis 1900 in der Buch- und Naturalienhandlung Ernst Heyne, die von seinem Vater Ernst Heyne (1833-1905) gegründet wurde. Bei den ers…ten beiden Karten ist nur die zweite Hälfte des Kartentextes und die Signatur eigenhändig von Alexander Heyne geschrieben worden; die erste Hälfte von einem anderen Mitarbeiter des Unternehmens. --- Die dritte Karte wurde komplett eigenhändig von Alexander Heyne geschrieben. Jeweils mit Firmenstempel "Ernst Heyne // Buch- und Naturalienhandlung // Leipzig // Hospitalstrasse 2." Gerichtet an den Naturalienhändler, Forschungsreisenden und Entomologen Carl Ribbe (1860-1934) in Oberlößnitz bzw. Radebeul bei Dresden. Auszüge: 23. Juni 1900: "Hierdurch bitte ich Sie nochmals, mir das schon vor längerer Zeit bestellte Werk von Ihnen: 'Anl. z. Schmett.-Sammeln i. trop. Ländern' wenn möglich in 4 Exemplaren senden zu wollen. [?] Mit frdl. Grüßen Ihr ergebener ppa Ernst Heyne Alexander Heyne." 3. September 1900: "Ihrem w. Schreiben zufolge übersende ich gleichzeitig an H. Reichelt folgende Jahrg. d. Stett. Ent. Anm.: Erwähnt sind die "Stettiner Entomologische Zeitung" und der Entomologe Friedrich Wilhelm Niepelt (1862-1936). Dieser schrieb am selben Tag (3. September 1900) an Carl Ribbe über die Buch- und Naturalienhandlung Ernst Heyne: "H[eyne] war wie ausgeplündert an Raritäten, Alles II. Qual[ität] etc." --- Diese Karte von Niepelt ist nicht mehr im Angebot, da sie schon verkauft ist. 17. September 1900: "Vorbehaltlich der Richtigkeit der noch in Erwartung stehenden Retouren nehme ich Ihr Gebot von M 240,- an. Die Afrikaner-Sendung kreuzte sich gerade mit Ihren Zeilen vom 14. Über Alexander Heyne (Quelle: wikipedia): Alexander Heyne (geb. 1. Juli 1869 in Leipzig; gest. 23. Dezember 1927 in Berlin) war ein deutscher Buch- und Naturalienhändler und Entomologe. Leben: Alexander Heyne war der Sohn des Buch- und Naturalienhändlers Ernst Heyne. Er arbeitete nach dem Gymnasium bis 1900 im Geschäft seines Vaters, machte sich mit seinem Bruder Martin von 1900 bis 1902 in London selbständig und arbeitete danach bis 1910 in der Naturalienhandlung von Hermann Rolle als Entomologe. Im Jahre 1910 machte er sich in Berlin selbständig und führte sein Geschäft bis zu seinem Tod im Jahr 1927. In der Entomologie ist er unter anderem Erstbeschreiber vom Gelbbindigen Mohrenfalter Erebia flavofasciata Heyne, 1895, einem Augenfalter (Satyrinae) aus der Familie der Edelfalter (Tagfalter). Alexander Heyne hatte als Entomologe keine eigene Insektensammlung angelegt. Die Insektenbestände der Firma gingen 1928 in den Besitz der seit 1913 von Otto Bang-Haas geführten Firma Staudinger & Bang-Haas über. Schriften (Auswahl) Systematisches und alphabetisches Verzeichnis der bis 1892 beschriebenen exotischen Cicindelidae. Nach Fleutiaux: Catalogue systématique des Cicindelidae décrits depuis Linné zusammengestellt. Über Alexander Heyne (Quelle: wikipedia): Alexander Heyne (geb. 1. Juli 1869 in Leipzig; gest. 23. Dezember 1927 in Berlin) war ein deutscher Buch- und Naturalienhändler und Entomologe. Leben: Alexander Heyne war der Sohn des Buch- und Naturalienhändlers Ernst Heyne. Er arbeitete nach dem Gymnasium bis 1900 im Geschäft seines Vaters, machte sich mit seinem Bruder Martin von 1900 bis 1902 in London selbständig und arbeitete danach bis 1910 in der Naturalienhandlung von Hermann Rolle als Entomologe. Im Jahre 1910 machte er sich in Berlin selbständig und führte sein Geschäft bis zu seinem Tod im Jahr 1927. In der Entomologie ist er unter anderem Erstbeschreiber vom Gelbbindigen Mohrenfalter Erebia flavofasciata Heyne, 1895, einem Augenfalter (Satyrinae) aus der Familie der Edelfalter (Tagfalter). Alexander Heyne hatte als Entomologe keine eigene Insektensammlung angelegt. Die Insektenbestände der Firma gingen 1928 in den Besitz der seit 1913 von Otto Bang-Haas geführten Firma Staudinger & Bang-Haas über. Schriften (Auswahl) Systematisches und alphabetisches Verzeichnis der bis 1892 beschriebenen exotischen Cicindelidae. Nach Fleutiaux: Catalogue systématique des Cicindelidae décrits depuis Linné zusammengestellt.
