Printed in Kyoto, Japan in conjunction with the "Inventive Clothes" exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto. (The exhibition was originally held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.) With essay "Fashion is the Avant Garde of Circumstance" by Diana Vreeland, who was also the special consultant for the exhibition, and featuring the designs of some of the leading figures in fashion including Paul Poiret and Gabrielle Chanel. Kyoto: Kyoto Chamber of Commerce and Industry, 1975. Folio, original pink cloth with gilt lettering; original slipcase. A hint of bowing to book. A fine copy. RARE: Although the limitation is unspecified, this edition rarely appears on the market.
