Inscribed by the author on the half title page to esteemed Canadian author, Ken Mitchell. Jacket, front panel blue, shows worn edges, chipped spine to head, slight chipping to head tail of spine, now housed in a… loose mylar sleeve to protect from further damage. Text is clean and bright. The lower edge is lightly scuffed, there's a name penned (small, neat) to the front free endpaper. Related ephemera laid in. Essay in satire on the "Sweet Songstress of Saskatchewan". Drawings by J. W. McLaren.

It satirizes literary pretensions both of the critic and of the poet by presenting a poet and critic (the author) whose productions are awash with misreadings and sentimental clap-trap.
