From the Author Dash is a rescue who came into our lives 4 years ago. A mischievous, lovable, naughty, grey hair causing Siberian husky. A rendition of a true husky owner's life. Dash was a feral dog living on the streets in Yellowknife. As dogs cannot speak our language, we could only guess what she had experienced in her early years. It was, however, pretty clear that she had been traumatized. She was reactive and lacking social skills. These past 4 years Dash has taught us love, patience, empathy, and understanding. She is the rescue who rescued me. I have written What's On Your Nose? to bring awareness to the reasons that dogs are muzzled and to educate children and adults alike that muzzles have a purpose; that they are not scary; and that when used correctly can "like a seatbelt" keep you safe.
