Fairly clean in a tough library binding with Illustrated front board. The corners are rubbed but not throught the tough cloth! The first few pages have a tear at the bottom against the spine, maybe 3/4" long. There is a sticker inside on the first fly that says " please wsh your hands before your read me and keep me clean". Not all the readers did this. A smudge here and there. Also a few green colored pencil marks. A sturdy copy with typical grade school library marks. In the days before garage sales, there was a community auction to raise money for a fire engine. Does it succeed? Gosh, you will have to read the book! 91 pages.
