He was allowed to rejoin FAA in 1940 and won his wings. He transferred to the RAF where he flew Spitfires, joined a famous wing and was in constant action against the enemy for 11 months until he crash-landed in occupied France and was made a POW. Very nice copy with nice spine of the Corgi paperback edition.
