The settlement became known as Hoffer, located close to the Canada-USA border in the.Rural Municipality of Souris Valley No. 7. The well-known Bookseller from Vancouver, William Hoffer, was born in this community in 1944. 157pp, illustrations by William Perehudoff. Book is clean and unmarked with bright, white pages. Tight, square binding, no weaR to the tan cloth with brown titles. The illustrated dustjacket is also clean and bright but with some minor, very short edge tears and a single small lost chip to the top edge of the back panel. Ships via inexpensive Canada Post Lettermail within North America, or via the USPS Media Mail, in card sleeve. From $5.00 to $8.50 depending on exact weight etc. Media Mail rates in the USA do not apply to Magazines. Those requiring Tracking in Canada will find postage considerably more. D.J. shows a stern man and his wife. in a farm setting. D.J. has light edge wear. Volume is tight, bright, and clean. No marks nor tears. Name of p/o ffep. Very minor folded corners. Excellent reading copy ! Quote (p. 91) : ' The new shochet had moved into the rooms built for him in the back of the Synagogue, and the dedication of the building was planned for a night in November, 1912.
