With 21 b/w illustrations (including frontispiece) of which twenty are on unpaged leaves (final drawing is a tailpiece on page 404) with most specifically signed "Church" [Frederick Stuart Church] or "W.H. Beard" [William Holbrook Beard] but curiously the dj front flap credits Milo Winter as illustrator but his signature is not found in the book's few uncredited illustrations.
