Hardcover. Condizione: Acceptable. Vol 5 (1898) leather covers leather is chipped on top and bottom spine. leather is cracked and soiled. first plate (bullfrong) has been removed but it is included. other plate pages are still bound. plates are beautiful and vivid. Covers are quite rubbed and corners are showing some board and wear. All edges bright gilt. Interior text has yellowed with age, tight in binding. Ten full color engraved illustration plates retain protective tissues. Numerous black and white engravings throughout. Full Cloth. Condizione: Very Good. Illustrated (illustratore). Full green cloth with blind stamped gilt decoration on front board of two birds in a nest with eggs. The book has shelfwear to the top & bottom of the spine as is usual with books of this age. Bottom corner bumped. Brown endsheets. Numerous illustrations both full page and in text. Overall VERY GOOD condition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Hardcover.

Half-Leather. Condizione: Good. Revised Edition. Half-leather w/gilt lettering, marbled endpapers; Rubbing to edges of covers, FFEP is curling w/a 6" tear to bottom edge at spine and a 1" tear to top edge at spine, RFEP is curling w/1" tear to bottom edge at spine, pages lightly toning, 1 blank page in front of illustration has been torn out and laid in, 1 page creased.

Each volume is profusely illustrated with fabulous chromolithographs (3 - 8 per volume) all with tissues guards in place, all pristine, and with many full-page b&w plates and hundreds of others b&w drawings scattered throughout.
