Boards (HB) In very good condition with dust jacket flaps stuck to inner covers and tiny owner plate top inside front cover. Dust jacket in good condition with fading to spine, wear to top of spine and 2 inch enclosed tear top of back cover. Black and white photographs by Michael Bry, Ernest Braun, Phiz Mozesson, Jacqueline Paul and Jerry Stoll. The San Francisco experience is not an encounter you can enjoy in an hour or a day or at a particular time or location. It is a composite of innumerable experiences over long periods of time in the entire region around the bay. San Francisco as a social and cultural entity long ago spilled over the political boundaries that were drawn up a century ago for another era. Nearly one-third of the people who during the day work and shop within the city limits go home at night beyond the bay or down the Peninsula. Nearly all of the tourists and visitors who come to the city also visit the far shores. 223 pages. As this item is both very over sized and heavy, there will be an extra charge for priority mail or for shipping outside the United States.

Aggiungi al carrelloMagazine. 16p. folded tabloid newspaper, articles, poetry, fiction, services and resources, events, nude photos and illustrations, very good on newsprint. Don Jackson on his proposed Gay Liberation Front takeover of Alpine County, California. San Francisco's erotic cinemas. Courtois' text and photos in the Sensorium. Annie Liebo…witz photos (small reproductions) of the First International Erotic Film Festival. According to the Online Archive of California, Bancroft: "The Sexual Freedom League was founded in 1963 in New York City. Julian Beck, Allen Ginsberg, and Dr. Leo Koch were among those on the Advisory Committee of the original group, which was active in demonstrations for a wide range of causes." The original SFL was formed in NYC by Jefferson Poland in 1963 as New York City League for Sexual Freedom. When Poland moved to the Bay Area from NYC in 1966 he founded the SFL in the East Bay which was a loose-knit group with few rules, little organization and no fees. After he broke away several others stepped in to create their own versions of the league including Richard Thorne, Margo Rila and her husband Frank Esposito Rila. By 1971 several SFL chapters had formed around the US including the one of which Don Jackson was a member. Jackson, whose copy this is, was a gay activist in California who contributed to The Alpine County Project aka Stonewall Nation. In a letter responding to internal strife over liberal and conservative leaders in the SFL Jackson, a Libertarian, offered himself as a liberal candidate for office. The San Francisco chapter was headed up by Margo St. James at this time.
