Bound in full lovely textured teal leather over boards, featuring elaborate gilt lettering, rules and ornamentation to the spine and boards; three raised bands to spine, four compartments, textured deep-maroon silk moire endpapers, like silk ribbon-marker, all edges gilt. Beaut…ifully illustrated with full-page black-and-white plates. Entirely without blemish to the extremities, and contents. Appears unread; as new. A most handsome presentation. Not to be mistaken for earlier, more common printings, by the Franklin Library which are not bound in leather. This limited first English language edition of Women of Crisis: Lives of Struggle and Hope by Robert Coles and Jane Hallowell Coles has been privately printed exclusivley for members of The First Edition Society.
