Tips, edges and spine rubbed. Light overall wear to cloth. Previous owners inscription inside front cover, otherwise appears unmarked. Gordon L. Hostetter (18921962) was a prominent Chicago business leader and an outspoken crusader against labor racketeering during the early-to-mid 20th century. He served as the president and executive director of the Employers Association of Chicago for nearly two decades. In 1933, he was one of the first to publicly state that Murray "The Camel" Humphreys had succeeded Al Capone as the leader of the Chicago Outfit. This book serves as a report on the "criminal army" of racketeers.

First edition, hardcover, has a slight lean to the binding, bumps to the spine ends and cover corners, sunning to the spine with an area of soiling near the tail, rubbing with small spots to the covers, foxing and a touch of white speckling to the edges of the text block, and paper clip scars to the head of some pages. Overall, this is a solid, Good+ copy.
