All printed in black & white on glossy photo paper (crossed-out ink annotations at lower fore-edge of bus photo), others w/ small photo lab stamp on verso, VG set. Terrific photographs of two early street rods in San Diego in the 1920s owned by Machinist Mate Francis M. Benjamin (1897-1982), who was s…erving on the U.S.S. Melville during this period. All three photographs include the same street rod which has been stripped of badges, or any distinctive markings, along with fenders, running boards, and top. Benjamin and in navy uniform, along with three buddies are sitting on the automobiles. One of the photos includes a picture of what appears to be a early 1920s Model T in the picture which has been stripped down to just chassis and engine. The 4th picture shows what appears to be a ca. 1922 Dodge Bus, with toddler sitting in the driver's seat.

First edition of this exceedingly scarce original program for the 10…th Annual Portland Roadster Show, which featured George Barris' "The Dragula" as seen weekly on the popular CBS TV show The Musters at the time. The photo illustrations of Hot Rod entries provide a an excellent reference to the Hot Rod builders and Speed Shops of the Pacific Northwest showing such cars as the 1932 Ford owned by Dick Speedy Gunsaulis, the 1927 Ford owned by Steve West, the 1931 Ford truck owned by Dennis Bates, 1951 Chevrolet, chopped, lowered and customized by Bruce Metcalfe, the 1964 Cheetah Corvette owned by Alan Green Chevrolet, and even the 1932 Austin Bantam dragster owned by Donald Jackson. No copies located in Worldcat.
