The pages' illustrations are b/w. The back board has the same illustration and lettering as the front board, but it is upside down. This is probably purposeful to fit the concepts in the content in the book.One fourth of the front board has light foxing, on the left hand side. Over half of the back board and the spine strip have heavy foxing. The bottom margin of the first page has a 7/8 in. peeled tear that is tipped back together with glue. Scans e-mailed upon request. It is chipped at the corners and edges of spine, with 2 small pieces missing. Unclipped, but no price indicated and mention of 384 p. (this copy has 358p.) Mylar protected. One of the Black and Gold Library titles listed on the back of the dust jacket. No mention of a translator. The French title was published in 1829 as " Physiologie du mariage ou méditations de philosophie éclectique, sur le bonheur et le malheur conjugal, publiées par un jeune célibataire."
