Hardcover. Condizione: Poor. Brown hard covers with black title labels on the spine. Gold lettering and bands on the spines is faded. Heavy wear, chipping and bumping on corners and edges. Hinges are cracked and chipped and barely attached. Spine ends are heavily frayed and worn. Chips and heavy wear on the spines. Heavy shelf wear and soiling on the covers. Yellowing and soiling to page ends. Volume one has moisture staining on the front edges. Very fragile front cover hinge. Heavy foxing and yellowing to the text and illustrations. Volume Two is mostly a very interesting topography of the United States. It does have foxing and yellowing to text and the inside hinge is cracked. This the new and improved edition with additions and corrections. "Comprising political and biographical history, Geography, Geology, Mineralogy, Zoology and Botany; Agriculture, Manufactures, and Commerce; Laws, Manners, Customs and Religions; with a Topographical Description of the Cities, Sea-Ports, Towns, Public Edifices, Canals, etc." All books are individually examined and described.
