Soft cover. Condizione: Very Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Very Good. An excellent copy of this publication celebrating 20 years of Two x Two for AIDS and art, the annual contemporary art auction held in Dallas benefiting two organizations—the Dallas Museum of Art and The Foundation for AIDS Research. Contains an introduction…by museum director, Agustin Arteaga, and catalogues the significant contemporary artworks acquired for the museum from these proceeds from 1999-2018. Richly illustrated with images of these works, accompanied by short descriptive texts on each piece. Square format softcover with protective transparent mylar printed with text and designs, 300pgs. Binding solid and square. Interior crisp and unmarked, small gallery library sticker on title page. Covers in very good condition, lightly shelf worn on the edges and corners. Very mild bump at top right corner of front cover and some of the ensuing pages, not effecting the text or images. Minor bump to the bottom edge of the front cover, and tiny crease to the corner of the back cover. Overall an attractive copy.

About the book >.>.> People ask me all the time what makes a good artist and how to determine who to represent. For me it's visceral and instinctive. I know… the first time I see an artist's work whether it would fit into the gallery programme. You also have to be prepared to take risks. Twenty-five years ago, I identified a handful of established artists I admired and who didn't yet have representation in London. I had to convince them that I more than made up for my lack of experience with energy and ambition. Following them came emerging artists whose careers the gallery nurtured from scratch. Soon we added artists whose work had thus far been overlooked and deserved a wider audience. That diversity has always been fundamental. I love working with artists they are the lifeblood of the gallery and the relationship we have is founded on trust and mutual respect. I am also deeply privileged to have a team whose members are committed to the artists and supportive of one another. How we work and do business together is as important to me.
