Very light uniform fade to spines not too easy to notice. No markings contents fine and bright. This earlier slipcase did not have the illustrated dust jacket- like papers on the later publisher slipcase. This price includes the extra weight cost and safe and prompt shipping for this large heavy set.

Five raised bands and gold decoration on the spine. Marbled end papers which match the edges. The text block on all volumes is sound. The end papers on all volumes have some staining and a small amount of foxing. Page 781 in volume three has been repaired with tape. All other pages are clean and unmarked. Numerous illustrations throughout all volumes. Overall condition of this set is Good plus/ Very good minus. Professional packaging and prompt shipping.
