The book is a collection of pithy sayings by Howe, who was known for his quick wit, especially in his editorials. the book has an Introduction penned by his son J. E. Howe (also a newspaperman), Corra Harris (Likely the best known newspaperwoman of her day), and N. P. Webb. The book consists of a collection of pithy quotations from Edgar W.
