Unterschiedliche Hautfarben, Herkunftsländer, Religionen und Geschlechter sollten keine Gründe für Ungleichbehandlung und unterschiedliche Bildungschancen sein. Damit sich die unterschiedlichen ethnischen, kulturellen, sprachlichen, religià sen und sozialen Gruppen verstehen, muss es einen interkulturellen Dialog zwischen Einheimischen und Menschen mit Migrationshintergrund geben. Die gesellschaftlichen Entwicklungen in Deutschland und in Taiwan zeigen, wie wichtig das Thema des Umgangs zwischen Einheimischen und Einwanderern ist. In Taiwan ist in den letzten Jahren eine groÃe Zahl von Heiratsmigrantinnen aus Südostasien und Festlandchina eingewandert. Deutschland hat seit Mitte der 1950er Jahre viele ausländische Arbeitskräfte aus unterschiedlichen Ländern angeworben. Es gibt Gemeinsamkeiten bei Ursachen und Auswirkungen der Einwanderung in Deutschland und Taiwan. Ursache für die Arbeitsmigration in Deutschland wie auch für die Heiratsmigration in Taiwan ist die Hoffnung auf einen besseren (à konomischen und sozialen) Lebensstandard. Die steigenden Zahlen der Migranten in Deutschland und der Neueinwandererinnen in Taiwan führen zu einem demografischen Wandel, der die beiden Gesellschaften verändert. In beiden Ländern gibt es deshalb ähnliche Herausforderungen und Fragestellungen. In diesen Werk geht es um einen Vergleich der Interkulturellen Pädagogik in Deutschland und Taiwan mit besonderem Schwerpunkt auf Migrantenschüler bzw. Neueinwandererschüler. Es wird die Entwicklung der Interkulturellen Pädagogik in beiden Ländern verglichen. In Deutschland existiert die Interkulturelle Pädagogik bereits seit über 30 Jahren und hatte in dieser Zeit immer wieder neue Einflüsse und Zielsetzungen. In Taiwan ist die Interkulturelle Pädagogik dagegen ein relativ neues Gebiet. In dieser Studie wird für die Interkulturelle Pädagogik in beiden Länder untersucht, welche theoretischen Grundlagen es für Integration und Inklusion gibt, welche Schwerpunkte bei Heterogenität und Chancengleichheit gesetzt werden und wie der aktuelle Diskussions- und Forschungsstand ist.
