One of my favourites is Saint James' Park "Pelican Pelican why are you here.Your feathers are soiled and your beak is so queer.Citizen Citizen… everyone knows.My beak is where most of your income-tax goes" Full of daftness and eccentricities , the tone is uplifting and should put a smile on your face. Interior has small stain to top edge of first blank page and title page otherwise clean with no writing, marks or tears. Front cover has stain to top edges as shown in photo, seams and hinges in tact, all pages tight in binding. Herry-Perry (illustratore).

Contains 13 full-page engraved plates. Text in French. Condition: this volume really needs some repair - the front cover is detached as are the first group of p…ages up to and including page iii. In addition, the rear board is nearly detached and the leather spine is badly rubbed; the spine is split between pages 182 and 183. The pages themselves are in near fine condition and all pages are present. Overall, given the condition of the binding, I deem it as being in fair condition. Pages: xxxii, 483.
