Handsome first edition of the third volume (only) of the 4-volume "Overland to the Pacific: A Narrative-Documentary History of the Great Epochs of the Far West." Interestingly, front flyleaf bears the blind-embossed ownership emboss of "Erwin F. Meyer / University of Colorado / Boulder, Colo." -- an instructor there and apparently a correspondent of Hulbert, for an inked note at upper left of same flyleaf records "My last letter from the author -- 1/5/34" -- though this letter alas is no longer present; Hulbert died at age 60 on 24 December 1933.
