Battle honors include the Battle of Bennington during the Revolutionary War, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, and Cold Harbor during the Civil War, the Battle for Santiago during the Spanish American War, and St. Mihiel and the Meuse-Argonne during the First World War. The 104th was awarded the Croix de Guerre by the French GOvernment, becoming the first American military uhity to be decorated by a foreign power. Much of the material used in this work was originally gathered by Pfc. Phillip Dodge under the supervision of Capt. Alfred Stapleton. Fair. No dust jacket. Signed by previous owner.
