Biographies of William Clark, Phil Sheridan, George Crook, John G. Bourke, Ranald Mackenzie, Nelson Miles, Charles King, William Hazen, Frank D. Baldwin, and of course, George A. Custer (written by Brian W. Dippie). A 2nd edition was later printed by the University of Oklahoma Press, 2009. An excellent resource.
