Nos. 1, 3-4 and 6 lack front wrappers; wrappers detached or coming detached from most issues, and all dust-dulled with substantial wear to edges. No. 5 more externally sound, though spine shows loss at both ends. Text well-preserved, with faint, chiefly marginal foxing, and more prominent foxing to plates. A serviceable and complete copy of the work's first published appearance, with a premature conclusion forced by the author's death.
