Together their fates become intertwined as they work side by side at this Sisyphean task. Basis for the classic 1965 film "Woman in the Dunes," directed by Hiroshi Teshigahara. The film won the Special Jury Prize at the 1965 Cannes festival, and was nominated for two Academy Awards, for Best Director and Best Foreign Film. EB; 8.4 X 6.0 X 1.1 inches; 239 pages.
