Aggiungi al carrelloPaperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book provides a vivid critique of the governing structure and philosophies of a major religious order during a period of profound societal change. The author argues that the organization's hierarchical structure, coupled with the disproportionate influence wielded by its leaders, fostered an environment ripe for abuse. The critique goes on to explore the ways in which the organization's professed values of charity and piety were often contradicted by the actions of its leaders, leading to a culture of hypocrisy and corruption. the book's insights offer a cautionary tale about the dangers of unchecked power and the importance of holding those in positions of authority accountable for their actions. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
