After their migration to the island of Rügen, part of the Galicians returned to the Carpathians and went up to the mountains. They are traditionally referred to as Hutsuls-highlanders (shepherds) as opposed to Podolyan Galicians (Ruthenian).The oldest studies on the origin of the word hutsuly include the article written by Polish researcher K. Milevskiy, who derived this ethnonym from the verb roam . In this situation, in our opinion, a special approach is required, which would give us the opportunity to extract the semantic units from the existing form hutsuly, and allow us to view their origin from primary sources. In our observations, we follow three positions on ethnonim hutsuly, to which R. F. Kayndl drew attention. Based on the research done by V. T. Kolomiec and our observation, we conclude, that in ancient times the structure of words matched morphemic and phonetic (syllable) limit. In the relation to the reviewed ethnonym we can distinguish the syllables hu-tsul in which under the stress is prefix hu-. Since in ide. linguistics it is believed that prefix forms of lexemes are secondary to the root forms, we can assume the existence of a derivation of meanings in the ethnonym hutsuly: 'farmers' 'mountainous (farmers, shepherds)'.Previous remarks give us a reason to examine the origins of protoname of tribe of Hutsuls from the initial ide. root \* el-, which could be seen in the ancient ethnonym Halychany (without prefix hu-), related to the said root in the word hutsuly.…

However, one of the main lexical means of expressing causativity is considered to be causative verbs, the definitions of which are in part contradictory.Generally, linguists single out causative verbs as being those transitive verbs with the meaning of 'changing a state' or 'causing an action', which is expressed by a corresponding verbal stem. Taking this definition of causative verbs into account, in the article we refer to this group, verbs which cause a different action or state in, at least, two situations connected by causation relations and reflect cause-and-effect relations on a referential level.The object of this research is thus DCV (derived causative verbs) - verbs united by the general meaning of causativity, formed (in the paper, the terms 'formed' and 'motivated' are used synonymously) from motivated stems of different parts of speech with the aid of word forming means inherent to verb formation, i.e. units creating word forming category of causativity.The main empirical material is obtained by means of continuous sampling of DCV from definition dictionaries of the German and the Ukrainian languages.The results obtained from dictionary and text sampling were used to establish the productivity degree of certain DCV formation means and ways, semantic types in both languages, productivity correlation of DCV semantic types and their frequency. …

In der vorliegenden Arbeit wurde die These des Isomorphismus zwischen semantischer und syntaktischer Struktur der AKV durch eine breit angelehnte Untersuchung typologisch unterschiedlicher nicht verwandter Sprachen kritisch hinterfragt. Darauffolgend wurden die formalen, semantischen und funktionalen Eigenschaften der untersuchten sprachlichen Einheiten in beiden Sprachen verglichen.
