The book is in really good condition, normal wear and marks apply consistent with use and age. A few marks on the spine cover, a couple of marks on side edge of papers. 413 pages, all intact, good strong, tight binding, all pages, maps, text and illustrations are in good, clean, readable order. Pages 39-44 inclusive have had their top corners clipped, which is such a shame, I will photograph, so please do look at photos, thx. First published by The Folio Society in 1985, this specific edition is a reprint 1989. Photoset in 11 point Baskerville, spaced one point, by Latimer Trend & Company Ltd, Plymouth. Printed by The Bath Press, Avon, on Elan Cream Wove Paper, and bound by The Bath Press in Ernstmeir Bucheinband Cloth, blocked with a decorative motif. Another wonderful book from The Folio Society.
