The Foreword was written by Dimitri Mitropoulos (1896 - 1960), who was one of the most admired conductors of the early and mid Twentieth Century. The book was published by The Four Corners Press in New York in paperback format. This is the First Edition, so identified on the verso of the title page. As well as a discography, the book contains a brief discussion of Brahm's life and music.
