This fact has generated controversy in the sense that the companies installed there only remain due to the policy of tax incentives, hence the local political authorities constantly act in the direction of their permanence, therefore, the Manaus Free Trade Zone and in this context the PIM has gone through several processes of extension. In this context, there is a need to focus on the issue of the continuity of the local economy being dependent on this model based on tax incentives and on foreign capital through the transnational companies established in that city.
