This 238 (count for the year-to-date) page issue is from May 1956. Its 3 feature articles are on Mayan ruins in the Yucatan, a 1954-55 Virunga mission to the gorillas of Uganda and vulcanism in a couple of locales - noteably Mexico. The language is all German but the `advert' for the Borgward Isabella car on page III has a tiny bit of English. LOTS of photos -mostly b/w but some COLOUR. Cond: Black and rust paper wrapper w/ a colour photo of a Mayan jade mask. (Powerful image. Mosaic construction.) Edges and corners are quite crisp for its AGE, but spine is tattered at top and missing a piece at base. Staples pulling sli.but still tight, bright and clean. No names, creases, marks, tears (save SPINE noted), nor folds. Size: 4to. Magazine Format.
