Mostly light to occasionally mild foxing/toning to leaves; old pencil inscriptions on front free endpaper and rear pastedown; a few other initial and rear leaves with remnant impressions of erased pencil writing; pages 635-684 and 705-770 have varying chipping/nicking at upper fore-edge margins but not affecting text. Binding is firm. Concluding rear section of 32 pages is "Blanchard & Lea's Medical and Surgical Publications" catalog.
