Vertrag mit dem Musikverleger Robert Emil Lienau (18381920) von der Schlesinger'schen Buch- und Musikalienhandlung in Berlin über den Verlag von drei seiner Kompositionen, für die er zugleich den Erhalt des hierfür vereinbarten Honorars bestätigt. Isidor Seiß studierte in Dresden und Leipzig Klavier und begann 1859 eine Konzertreise, deren Kölner Station seine Verpflichtung durch Ferdinand von Hiller an das dortige Konservatorium 1861 zur Folge hatte; 1878 wurde er dort zum Professor für Klavier ernannt, von 1884 bis 1902 war er stellvertretender Direktor der Anstalt und von 1873 bis 1900 daneben auch Dirigent der Kölner Musikalischen Gesellschaft. Seiß fand als Pianist, fortschrittlicher Programmgestalter, Begleiter und Pädagoge Anerkennung. Zu seinen Schülern zählte u. a. Engelbert Humperdinck" (DBE). Sein Werk umfaßt vor allem Klaviermusik sowie die Oper Der vierjährige Posten" (1887).
