Diverses publications monographiques lui sont consacrées entre 1986 et 2015, mais à ce jour, le véritable catalogue de l'oeuvre reste à établir. Le présent ouvrage se propose d'en situer des éléments choisis, certains inédits, sous l'éclairage d'événements historiques - la fin de l'empire colonial français, la crise de la modernité en architecture et les aléas du tourisme dans les pays nouvellement indépendants - et dans une période marquée par l'attention aux caractères bioclimatiques des constructions.
