The text for the first 30 pages of this volume is in German, these pages are then followed by 48 tipped in color plates, complete, with the verso side blank except for the number of the plate and the title. There is an additional tipped in plate as the frontispiece. There is toning to the off white colored cloth boards with black lettering on the front board and black framing of the lettering on the spine. The boards also show some discoloration in a three by two inch area along the top of the front board near the spine and 5 by 1 1/2 inch area along the top edge at the outer edge of the back board. These darkened areas correspond to missing pieces of the dust wrapper, which is present but has paper loss, chips, tears and cresases and in good minus condition.
