It includes films of the avant-garde, including work by Alexander Hackenschmied, Jan Werich, Jiri Voskovec, etc. Czech films were not distributed to Western Europe or North America, and few aficionados realize the breadth and inventiveness of the Czech film industry during the interwar years, which saw some remarkable productions.
