With the handsome armorial bookplate of J. Barton Townsend (1865-1928), vice-president The Provident Life and Trust Company of Philadelphia [His notable and extensive collection of illustrated books and caricatures with original issues by the three Cruikshanks, Rowlandson, Gillray, etc. was sold at auction by the American Art Association in February 1919; in 1928 his library of Fine Sets and First Editions (769 items) was auctioned by the same house].
