Hardcover. Condizione: Fair. No Jacket. Fundamenta stili cultioris in Usum Auditorii ad. Adnotation J.M.Gesner, Johann Gottlieb Heineccius, vellum, 12mo. In fair condition, ex-library. Vellum a bit dingy, but still soft. Loose hinges. Moderate foxing throughout. Otherwise text is unmarked. Back pastedown is coming undone. Please see photos. Johann Gottlieb Heineccius was a German jurist from Eisenberg, Thuringia. He studied theology at Leipzig and law at Halle. He was appointed professor of philosophy in 1713 and professor of jurisprudence in 1718. He endeavored to treat law as a rational science, and not merely as an empirical art whose rules had no deeper source than expediency. Thus he continually refers to first principles, and he develops his legal doctrines as a system of philosophy. COLH1743ABFA.
